My Name is Emily Furrow and I would like to welcome you to my cookie website, SML Cookie Shop! I have lived in the Smith Mountain Lake area my whole life and I have truly enjoyed being able to provide such a fun and creative new business for my community and surrounding areas ( such as Roanoke, Botetourt County, Franklin County, and even Lynchburg).  From a very young age I loved painting, drawing, and doodling on everything, so much so that I had entire notebooks dedicated to all my doodles and drawings. My love for baking came from my college days at Radford University, where I was able to try out all new recipes on my roommates. I am now married to my wonderful husband, Chase, and we have a beautiful little girl together named Tessa. 

Tessa is actually the reason for SML Cookie Shop. In March of 2022 I was attempting to plan my little girls birthday party and wanted to order some designer cookies. After researching I realized that only very few places in our surrounding areas create designer cookies, and upon further investigation realized that I still could not receive the cookies that I had envisioned. So, with my love for baking and drawing, I thought to myself “I can make those cookies”. After that I started designing cookies for my family and friends and after a little encouragement from my family I decided to make the leap and create a Facebook page to start creating cookies for anyone in my community.  

Today, I have had the privilege of being able to bake cookies for baby showers, birthdays for all ages, bridal showers, weddings, thank you cookies for corporate events, holiday parties, and more. I am honored that so many people have entrusted me to create cookies for their special life events! I would love to have the opportunity to talk with you about what your cookie visions are!
